Kale

They say that young children fixate on some item--stuffed animals, blankets...for Kale it is books. She loves them. Carries them around, stacks them, flips through them. This is with all kinds of books, from Disney Princess to Tolstoy's War and Peace. These photos are one night when Kale had built a nest by the book shelf and was looking at books when she fell asleep. The book she is clutching is a history book called "Aliens and Dissenters"--no wonder she fell asleep.
