Easter

Around the House.

Connor moved from Wolf Scout to Bear Scout in his last Cub Scout meeting

The weather has gotten a lot warmer here the last couple of weeks and we have tried to take advantage of it. We went on a hike to Rock Bridge State Park which is on the outskirts of Columbia. We hiked in about 2 miles and then spent some time around a small stream. Kale fell in but it was a warm day (about 90 degrees) so she was not too upset. Fresh air is like sleeping pills for Fin. She was out about 11/2 mile into the hike. The hike was supposed to be a loop but we the trail split into three and we could not find the right way so we had to backtrack. We eventually made it out a few days later.

Connor participated in Rain Gutter Regata this year with Cub Scouts. You make a boat from a kit, and then race head to head by blowing wind into your boat and racing the length of a rain gutter. Connor won second place in his troop competition so he was able to compete at the district level. He went on to win second place at the district level.

Katy Trail

We took a walk/jog along the Katy Trail which runs alongside the Missouri River.
