Richmond

Last month we made a day trip to Richmond. We visited a cool district called carytown with lots of shops and restaurants.

We also visited this amazing park, once owned by a single family and then perserved. It is called Maymont. It has various gardens--Italian, Japanese, a wildlife section, etc.

We ate at this sandwich shop--well-known in Richmond. State Capital

Old Cemetery in Richmond. Has four presidents. Several governors. Other famous people such as General George Pickett from Gettysburg.
